The Begelly Arms Hotel is located in the heart of Pembrokeshire and was completely refurbished in 2012 with its welcoming bar, relaxing lounge and spacious conservatory restaurant. They have a large range of reasonably priced dishes on the menus to suit everyone’s tastes and a specials board which is updated regularly throughout the week. Afternoon tea is served daily with a selection of freshly prepared cakes and they have a Carvery service every Sunday and Wednesday. The large function room is the perfect venue for any event and there is comfortable overnight accommodation.
The Begelly Arms Hotel had an old web site inherited from the previous owners but the new management team were looking to revamp and upgrade the site to attract a different target clientele. They wanted the new site to modernise the image and use the latest social tools.
A website is seen as an essential tool to attract new potential sales from users looking for services on the Internet. Web Adept proposed to build a website for The Begelly Arms Hotel that will provide them with a 24/7 shop front and an effective tool to communicate with their community. We wanted the user to be able to read about all the services and see what else the company has to offer. All visitors will be tracked through a bolted on stats package so to check the web site performance.
We have created a very functional homepage with memorable images and easy navigation to ‘guide’ the user around the site. We included an interactive banner on the home page to enhance the visual appeal and get the attention of the viewers. The website is built around a full content management system which allows the Begelly Arms team to publish news and updates, add interactive galleries on each page, display social feeds and create new pages.
We’ve included Google Analytics, as we do with all our sites, to give monthly report stats to see the interaction that users have with the site e.g. how many hits it gets, what pages are visited most and how long is spent on each page etc.
